Wildlife and habitat surveys

Zv f Bosc 16may04

Our skilled team has expertise covering all animal and plant biodiversity interests. We perform specialist surveys of rare, protected and threatened species, under appropriate EPS or WCA licences where relevant, and general wildlife surveys.

We also carry out general wildlife surveys in relation to development, or for other purposes such as biodiversity audit. Our surveyors include generalist ecologists as well as specialists in 'difficult' groups. We carry out Phase 1 or Extended Phase 1 habitat surveys on a regular basis, for a wide variety of clients. "We applied to build a barn to be sited on an arable field.  The council asked for a biodiversity appraisal, and placed a short deadline for receipt. We engaged Dr Chris Gleed-Owen who made a site visit within days, and delivered a fully researched report with plans, species list and recommendation a few days later, within the required timescale.  We have therefore avoided the need for extensions and delays.  Thank you Chris.
