frankie gamble v2We would like to welcome our latest recruit, Frankie Gamble, who joined us in early April 2017 as a seasonal ecologist.

Frankie has worked in ecological consultancy since 2015, and already has a wide range of experience including bats, birds, GCN, and reptiles. He holds a CSCS card and first aid qualification. He has worked on large-scale surveys for HS2 in the West Midlands, and was employed by two well-known consultancies in 2015 and 2016.

Originally from Buckinghamshire, Frankie obtained his higher education at Bournemouth University, and has also worked in the Seychelles and Mauritius. In the Seychelles, he worked on invasive bird eradication. In Mauritius, he worked on recovery programmes for the endangered pink pigeon, Telfair's skink (Round Island skink), and GΓΌnther's gecko (Round Island day gecko).

Having found his feet quickly, Frankie has been doing EPS reptile surveys in a Dorset quarry, and bat emergence and static surveys for us.

"We applied to build a barn to be sited on an arable field.  The council asked for a biodiversity appraisal, and placed a short deadline for receipt. We engaged Dr Chris Gleed-Owen who made a site visit within days, and delivered a fully researched report with plans, species list and recommendation a few days later, within the required timescale.  We have therefore avoided the need for extensions and delays.  Thank you Chris.
